Trans-Atlantic Training 2016 (TAT-4): Multi-sensor Approaches in Monitoring Ecosystem Dynamics
July 23, 2016 - July 27, 2016
The purpose of the series of Trans-Atlantic Training (TAT) courses is to disseminate and discuss research methods and technologies from space. It is organised jointly by ESA, NASA and Charles University of Prague. This training was the fourth in the series of TAT courses.
This edition focused on the techniques to monitor ecosystem dynamics from various remote sensing sensors, including radar and optical ones.
In the program were included a wide range of topics, among which new trends in optical remote sensing data and techniques (with emphasis on Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8), optical time series analysis, forest cover change validation, applications of SAR data to ecosystem dynamics and to biomass estimation, as well as SAR and LiDAR for forest vegetation mapping.
