Satellite observations have played a crucial role in capturing and understanding the phenomenon of Arctic amplification, characterized by amplified and accelerated regional warming in the Arctic. A recently published paper, outcome of the Arktalas Hoavva project, synthesized the significant contributions of satellite observations, shedding light on the nature and characteristics of this phenomenon, and capturing key environmental transitions that precede and follow the emergence of Arctic amplification.
