Within ESA’s Earth Observation Envelope Program the Network of Resources aims to stimulate the uptake of platform services by science and commercial users. Cloud providers hosting Earth Observation Data are invited to offer promotional free resources for research use that ESA will promote to its institutional and industrial research network of projects to test out a new way of working.
In early 2019 cloud providers will also be invited to respond to a dedicated Network of Resources procurement action (best practice under the Network of Resources frame contract) after which ESA will procure these resources when required to sponsor free use by research projects.
ESA invites any entity interested in providing free resources with associated data to significant Science and Application Development projects that have a good Public Relation potential for a period and level of consumption to be proposed by the entity themselves to send an email to eo4society@esa.int.
