22-25 September 2025 (on-line)
The European Space Agency, in the context of EO Science for Society, is organising the EO4Health User Forum.
The User Forum aims at reviewing the latest advances in the use of Earth Observation (EO) technology for global health, exploring the potential offered by the existing and upcoming EO satellites together with advanced modelling, in situ data and novel technologies, as well as the main challenges and opportunities to enhance our current capacity to observe, understand and predict health related challenges, including its connection with environmental conditions and climate change impacts, as well as with human activities.
The User Forum participants and key stakeholders will highlight global health priorities, review the state of the art and latest developments in EO for vector borne, water borne and non communicable diseases, and contribute to define a joint roadmap for the coming years, which will drive future scientific research activities of space agencies and partners to face some of the main societal challenges of our time.
The User Forum is open to health practitioners, EO scientists, researchers and students, modellers, Earth system and climate scientists, industry, operational agencies, policy makers, representatives of local communities and NGOs, other stakeholders interested in sharing their knowledge and experience and in contributing to drive the scientific agenda for advancing EO and health research and future applications.

The EO4Health Organising Team has set up a padlet - virtual whiteboard accessible at this link:
https://padlet.com/davidhughes18/esa_eo4health_user_forum_2025
The padlet will stay open for the entire duration of the workshop, to exchange views and provide recommendations on the main scientific challenges, gaps, and opportunities for future activities. Session chairs and all participants are very welcome to use it to share their views!
The workshops will take place from the afternoon of 22 to midday 25 September 2025 at the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) in Paris.
