The WorldPeatland project will prototype an improved mapping and monitoring of intact, degraded and cultivated peatlands for conservation, management and restoration worldwide. Integrated indicators to assess peatland condition will be derived from multitemporal trends of hydrology, surface motions, and vegetation biophysical parameters. The tools developed within this collaborative effort will be made available to peatland stakeholders and contribute to the Global Peatland Initiative.
