SEASAR2023

Twenty years after ESA’s 2003 workshop on Coastal and Marine applications of SAR (ESA SP-565), the SeaSAR workshop is returning to Svalbard from 2-6 May 2023. The format of the workshop will be similar to the 2003 workshop and will be organized around keynote presentations and thematic discussions. The following targeting themes will be addressed:
- Wave Retrievals
- Near Surface Wind Retrievals
- Doppler Shift Retrievals
- Detection of Extremes
- Sea Ice Retrievals
- Sensor Synergy
- Methodology and Techniques
- Future Missions
- Applications (Oil Spill, Ship Detection, etc)
Extended Abstracts:
Participants are invited to submit extended abstracts (max. 3 pages with figures) that address issues of key relevance to either of the targeted themes and the objectives. All submitted abstracts will collectively form the first input for the respective theme white paper.
Deadline for abstract submission: 25th January 2023.
