EO for Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification of Carbon Removals

This conference, jointly organised by the European Environment Agency (EEA) and ESA, will be held in Copenhagen from October 8-11. It is focused on the role of Earth observation in advancing EU climate goals, particularly through improved monitoring under the LULUCF regulation and the upcoming Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming Certification (CRCF) framework.
It consists of two parts:
- EO for improving LULUCF Monitoring, reporting and verification, 8-9 October
- Second Forum on EO for Carbon Markets, 9-11 October.
The event will explore recent EU climate policy developments, advances in satellite technologies, and the regulatory implications for carbon monitoring. The conference aims to foster collaboration among scientists, policymakers, and industry leaders.
