ESA at EGU 2026: discover the latest in Earth Observation

ESA will be present at the EGU General Assembly 2026 (4–8 May, Vienna) with a dynamic programme of talks and live demonstrations at its booth in the Austria Center Vienna.

Bringing together scientists, developers and policy experts, ESA’s presence will highlight how Earth Observation (EO) is advancing research, supporting climate action, and enabling new digital services for society.

What to expect at the ESA booth

Across the week, the main presentation area will feature short talks on:

  • The evolution of the Copernicus Space Component and access to EO data
  • New datasets and services in the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE)
  • Applications supporting climate policy and environmental monitoring
  • Advances in AI, including Earth science foundation models and the EVE open-source LLM
  • ESA missions such as CO2M, EarthCARE, FLEX and Solar Orbiter

In parallel, the demo area will host interactive sessions and hands-on demonstrations, including:

  • Working with openEO and publishing EO datasets
  • Using AI and APIs to access and analyse satellite data
  • Exploring Destination Earth services and digital twins
  • Live demos of innovative tools, including EVE
  • Meet-the-expert sessions with ESA’s Φ-lab

Whether you are a researcher, developer or EO user, the ESA booth offers a space to explore new tools, exchange ideas and connect with the EO community.
