After completing her fellowship, Karolina returned to the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology in Poland. She continues to work there as an assistant professor at the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics. She also works as SAR remote sensing specialist in the bilateral Polish-German project entitled Closed-Loop lmpact Monitoring for Environmentally and Socially Acceptable Energy Transition in Rural Regions. In this project she is responsible for detecting terrain displacements in the area of operation of the underground gas storage in Kosakowo (Poland).
