Since early 2019 a group of EO information suppliers, coordinated by ESA, have been participating at the EO Clinic, an EO support service in response to quick turnaround requests by key development banks and agencies.
Environmental data are combined with the requesters’ own datasets to help decision making within running development projects.
A few examples of requests supported to date are showcased in this article.
The EO clinic is an initiative still ongoing within the framework of the SpaceforIDA (Space in support of International Development Assistance) programme, following up the EO4SD (Earth Observation for Sustainable Development).
The EO Clinic welcomes requests for demonstrations of the benefits of EO, coming from most International Financing Institutions and bilateral aid agencies.
