The report from the 2nd European Polar Science Week is now published, marking an important milestone in the cooperation between the European Commission (EC) and the European Space Agency (ESA) on polar research.
The European Polar Science Week 2024 took place from 3 to 6 September 2024 in Copenhagen, at the Black Diamond, Royal Danish Library, bringing together over 400 participants from the scientific community, policymakers, and stakeholders. This event strengthened the collaboration between the EC’s Directorate General for Research and Innovation and ESA, aiming to address grand scientific challenges in polar research and shape future joint initiatives.
Throughout the week, experts discussed key challenges and opportunities in polar science, fostering networking and collaboration across various research projects. The newly released report highlights scientific advancements, research gaps, and strategic recommendations, offering a comprehensive summary of the discussions held.
