This activity is focused on the exploitation of Earth Observation data, in situ data and flood models with the aim of enhancing the use of EO data for flood prediction. It is motivated by the need to maximise the use of the above-mentioned data and tools for the UN Sustainable Development Goals number 6, Water, and the societal benefit of a better Capability to predict floods based on river discharge and flood models.
Activities shall aim at capitalising on latest advances in EO technology and multi-mission data to enhancing our capability of characterising and understanding the multi-scale variation of inland water storage and discharge in view of driving a flood forecasting model.
