The Atmosphere Science Cluster – Research Opportunities 5 – European Coordinated Study on Aerosol and Aerosol/Cloud Interactions is established under the Scientific Exploitation component of the FutureEO Programme.
It is intended to support innovative scientific development, which responds to research and networking opportunities in the Atmospheric research domain.
This activity is part of a coordination initiative between the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Commission (EC) on Earth System Science. Under the EC-ESA Earth System Science Initiative (ESSI), both institutions aim at coordinating efforts to support complementary collaborative projects. While ESA contributes to ESSI via the Atmosphere Science Cluster, on the side of the EC funding is provided through complementary scientific activities under Horizon Europe.
This call will primarily deal with the investigation of atmospheric (troposphere and stratosphere) aerosols characteristics as well as aerosol/cloud interactions and their roles in the Earth climate system.
