With this ITT ESA aims at exploring the full capacity of the latest EO satellite data, and in particular of the unprecedented wide variety of European satellite Earth observations, to better characterise and understand the drivers and complex underlaying processes leading to high impact multi-hazards with a focus on cascade and compound events as well as to advance our capacity to assess vulnerability, risk and potential impacts on society.
This ITT is an ESA contribution to the joint ESA-EC Earth System Science Initiative aiming at advancing Earth System Science and its contribution to respond to the global challenges that society is facing in the onset of this century.
