Earth System Data Lab

An online environment for Earth System scientists

Description

The Earth System Data Lab is meant to offer a service to Earth System scientists: the provision of a versatile and simple-to-use online laboratory, i.e. infrastructure and tools, to analyse the various data sets in the cube. With this at hand, users may tackle a great variety of questions and come up with innovative applications.

The data cube provides a growing list of relevant variables for Earth System Science. Most of them have been derived from Earth Observation, but the compilation also includes model or re-analysis data if deemed useful.

The Earth System Data Lab is the result of a collaboration among Brockmann Consult GmbH (BC), the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry (MPI BGC) and a group of Champion users.
