The EOStat project is co financed by EOEP5 and a Polish Industry Incentive Scheme Program (PLIIS) and aiming to facilitate the growth of strategic space applications sectors in Poland where new EO-methods methods and services integrated with advanced ground segment capabilities can be developed and applied for operational use. EOStat-Agriculture Poland addresses specifically the needs of the Central Statistical Office of Poland (CSO) which is the only official national source of agricultural statistical information transmitted to the European Commission (Eurostat). In this context the objectives of this ESA-financed project is to enhance the quality and affordability of agriculture data collection and to support CSO to adopt a wide-scale use of satellite-derived information in view of the upcoming reform of the EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP2020).
