Digital tools enclose the technology and resources for enabling sustainable EO-data uptake in African Countries. Requirements and capacities from African regional centers and programs are at the core of this activity, where an exploitation and services platform layer acts as facilitator to full use of data and tools. These tools enable open access to data and knowledge for public authorities and universities in Africa and empower users to address information requirements relevant for achieving the SDGs as well as to develop innovative Science and Applications. The EO AFRICA Innovation Lab simplifies access to data and products (in situ and EO) and use of open source code (algorithms, models, tools) exploiting the Copernicus DIAS infrastructure. A development environment allows users the possibility to develop, test and run their own code making full use of cloud computing facilities. Such tools also are the backbone of the Digital Campus for Africa, which offers online EO learning and training.
