This special edition of the Sentinel Hub Custom Script Contest started on 3rd May 2021 and will end at midnight on 5th September 2021.
The contest focuses on Africa and aims to demonstrate the power of a deep multi-temporal and multi-resolution data cube combined from Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 and Landsat. Additionally, the area of Dakar, Senegal, and been loaded with commercial data – Airbus Pleiades and SPOT, Maxar WorldView/GeoEye provided by European Space imaging, and PlanetScope.
Participants have different options to develop their ideas: they can create a Pin story or a custom script. The tools available include EO Browser and the Euro Data Cube Sentinel Hub, and a variety of support materials are available.
Participants are encouraged to choose a topic covering one of the themes below:
- change detection
- built-up area on multi-source imagery
- data fusion on multi-resolution imagery
- development of the urban area, when submitting a Pin Story (for beginners) – see our Pin Story guide here
The best three custom scripts, the best written story making use of EO data and the best Pin story will be rewarded with special prizes!
The initiative is organised by Sinergise in partnership with ESA, the Euro Data Cube Sentinel Hub (EDC) and the Copernicus EU Earth Observation programme.
