Seventh Joint ECMWF/ESA/EUMETSAT Training on Atmospheric Composition

The European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT), the European Space Agency (ESA), and ECMWF with CAMS are hosting the Seventh Joint Training Course on Atmospheric Composition, focusing this year on Advanced Atmospheric Composition Products & Applications, with an emphasis on aerosols.

 

What to Expect

Participants will gain insights into atmospheric composition monitoring and modelling, including topics such as aerosol processes, emissions, remote sensing, data assimilation, and operational applications. The course promotes hands-on experience and fosters collaboration among scientists and professionals across Europe and beyond.

Key Dates

  • 29 June 2025: Registration deadline (24:00 CEST)
  • Mid-July 2025: Notification to selected on-site participants
  • 1–2 & 9–10 October 2025: Online lectures (open to all, dates tentative)
  • 13–17 October 2025: Onsite training in Brussels (selected participants only)

 

Target Audience

Postgraduate students, researchers, and professionals with a background in atmospheric sciences, physics, chemistry, or related fields. Familiarity with Python is beneficial.
