SUMMARY:RUS Remote Training: Ship detection with Sentinel-1 using SNAP S-1 toolbox
DESCRIPTION:The remote training will  employ the ESA SNAP Sentinel-1 Toolbox to demonstrate ship detection as an example of maritime surveillance using Sentinel-1 satellite-borne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). \nThe session will consist of a live demonstration\, followed by a time to repeat the exercise on pre-configured RUS Virtual Machines with live support from the RUS EO expert team. The session will close with live Q&A. \nThis training is primarily dedicated to participants from start-ups and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs)\, but will of course be open to all applicants. \nApply from Monday 11th of January 2021 – Sunday 31st of January 2021 \nThe RUS Service is funded by the European Commission\, managed by the European Space Agency and operated by CSSI and its partners. Serco Italia SPA is leading the RUS Training component. \n
