SUMMARY:Trans-Atlantic Training 2017 (TAT-5): Multi-sensor Approaches in Studying Land Use/Land Cover Change
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the series of Trans-Atlantic Training (TAT) courses is to disseminate and discuss research methods and technologies from space. It is organised jointly by ESA\, NASA and the Charles University of Prague\, in close cooperation with the Regional Information Network for Southern\, Central and Eastern Europe (SCERIN). This training was the fifth in the series of TAT courses. \nThis edition was hosted by the University of Pécs\, Hungary\, from 16 to 20 June 2017. \nThe contents focused on the evaluation of impacts of land use/land cover change on ecosystems using different types of sensors. State-of-the-art advanced methods of Earth Observation were presented and discussed by leading experts from Europe and USA. \nAround 40 early-career scientists and university students joined this event\, mainly from the region of Central and Eastern Europe. \nThe complete course material and programme are accessible here below. \nThe larger datasets used for exercises are available in the TAT website. \n \n \n
