SUMMARY:1st ESA Advanced Training Course on Atmospheric Remote Sensing 2008
DESCRIPTION:The European Space Agency organises a series of regular advanced thematic training courses in Europe. These training courses – initially covering ocean\, land and atmosphere applications – are hosted in European Universities\, with the host country rotating among the ESA Member States. \nThe 2008 course was dedicated to training on the exploitation of Earth Observation data from ESA and Third Party Mission instruments for atmospheric applications\, and took place in Oxford\, UK from 15 to 20 September 2008. \nThe specific objectives of the advanced atmospheric training course were to: \n\nStimulate and support the exploitation of ESA EO and Third Party Mission (TPM) remote sensing data for atmospheric applications;\nIntroduce available tools and methods for the exploitation of ERS\, Envisat\, and TPM satellite data;\nTrain the next generation of European and Canadian Principal Investigators (PIs).\n\nCourse materials can be found at the original website. \nProgramme \nDay 1 – Monday\n13:00 – 14:00 – Registration\n14:00 – 14:30 – Official Welcome: Univ. of Oxford / M.
